Writing on Foucault

Admittedly, I have definitely spent days like this over work in the past especially before leaving Auckland Uni. You end up feeling pretty shitty. I've definitely learnt a lot over the past year but I'm still struggling with balance. Where do you take classes for that?

Foucault
I figured if I'm not actively writing this essay, I might as well post something about it. So I've been starring at Foucault's writing for the the past two months. Finishing this essay on his concept of 'bio-power' continues to allude me. I think I understand the concept and can explain it at a basic level. I understand the overview of what is necessary to demonstrate an understanding. I propose bio-power as one of the modes of power Foucault has identified. To demonstrate bio-power I need to compare it to other modes of power such as sovereign power and disciplinary power. These modes of power being historically contingent (but not exclusive) has seen each as the dominant modes of power. I am currently stuck trying to explain Foucault's take on power and it just seems like it gets more and more complicated. This encompasses my whole experience with philosophy at university. However, I've just gotta make sure I manage self-talk and get through it.

Rambles and music
I can foresee that my future posts are going to be riveting. I suppose I should prepare for the flood of people about to religiously follow me? That aside, I guess it is fairly exciting to have my own page with my thoughts published. This was my jam this morning.

I've thrown up some Ottmar Liebert so I suppose it's business in regards to essay writing. May return to edit formatting heh.
