10 Weeks Today

How time waits for no one

Crazy. It's the end of February this week. Time really doesn't want to wait for me.

Since my last post, life has taken an amazing turn. We are pregnant. It was quite the story telling our parents the news. We're both trying to prepare for the coming changes and very excited about it all. We both have the support of both family and friends which makes it all that much better.

Today we are 10 weeks along. Hopefully in another two weeks, we will have a scan done. Apparently baby is basically more or less fully formed and just a prune sized version of what we'll get in September. Perhaps I'll have something to post up when we get the next scan done.

We've been looking at moving for a little while now. Living in Albany for over a year and 3 months is slowly taking its toll because of distance from Kyla's school. We've also been notified that our apartment is going up on the market soon. Figuring it's probably a sign, the mad house hunt has begun. A rant about the Auckland housing market will not make me or the situation better, so I will leave it at that. Whatever it is we get, I am very excited thinking that we might own our own space soon. Gardens will be grown for sure. I remember posting about me and my tomatoes, but I have not had the opportunity to post any photos sooo.. here you go blog!

Money Makers

Money Makers and Roma Tomatoes

The pesky new house across the road blocking my view of the bush

Money Makers. I really should have posted some pictures of the Roma

Regarding my studies, I have decided to take things part-time. The baby, house and wanting to work part-time will mean I cannot devote as much time as I should. But this is ok and I am happy with this. I had a job interview last week on Friday and it was fantastic. I hope I get this job. Census is not the greatest employment I  have ever had. Something will come my way eventually - hopefully in the shape of a boat and fishing rods.

I have had another person find my blog. I really should change my twitter links. Sarvnaz was a ninja anyway to  have found my twitter in the first place.

I better get back to writing about Tongan ethnic media.

The Roma tomato. I could not leave it out. Felt bad - like a parent choosing a favorite child
